How to Install Dero
Dero is written in Go and is very easy to install both by downloading a binary or by building from a source code.
See GitHub page for latest release notes.
There are clearly two different methods for installing Dero onto your machine: Easy and Advanced.
If you are just trying to get all the features of Dero without the hassle of customization, visit the all in one solution Engram
If you are excited to get into the nitty-gritty of Dero, then you will need to either download the latest binaries, or compile from source.
Choose the correct file based on your OS and then extract it to any desired folder. If your OS is not listed here, but is supported by Go, you can compile it manually from source code (see below).
After download you can check validity of your binaries by comparing their checksums.
Compile from source code
1. Install dependencies
2. Get source code and build it
git clone https://github.com/deroproject/derohe cd derohe mkdir build go build -o build ./cmd/...
Note instead of using Git to get the Dero source code, you can download it manually from Github.
Now you should see the resulting executables in the newly created build folder.
